I graduated from college in 1984 with a degree in geology although I spent every spare credit in various art classes. I fully expected to make a living as geologist and pursue art for fun. Strange how things turn out, as now it's the other way around.
I've been in the business of designing, creating and manufacturing decorative items and jewelry since 1985. I was a ski racer and noticed a dearth of decent awards appropriate for ski events, so I started Artistic Awards in Colorado Springs of that year and we served the awards market creating custom, cast medallions for sporting events around North America.
In 1992, I added a new arm, Alpine Casting Company to the business and we undertook contract manufacturing for jewelry designers around the country. A designer could send us a prototype or a sketch for a design and we would take it from there, creating a prototype, making molds, and casting and finishing hundreds of pieces to their specifications.
I sold the business in 2004 and now specialize in jewelry design for the trade and in creating beautiful, one of a kind pieces for discerning clients. After over 20 years, I have extensive experience with every aspect of jewelry manufacturing and am confident I can create a piece for you that is successful in every way.
I continue to pursue art, primarily sculpture, in my spare time, as well as ski and mountain bike in the beautiful mountains of Colorado and the west.
